It’s about stepping into leadership, building real confidence, and learning what it truly means to work as a dive professional.
At Hydronauts, our Divemaster Training runs over 8 weeks and is designed to prepare you for the reality of the dive industry. You’ll train in small groups with three dedicated Divemaster trainers, assist on real courses, and log countless dives while developing your leadership, rescue, and guiding skills.
By the end, you won’t just be a certified Divemaster, you’ll be a professional who’s ready to take the next step in your diving career and work anywhere in the world.
Month 1: Foundation & Skills
Your first month is focused on building knowledge, technique, and confidence. You’ll tighten the basics and build a pro mindset before stepping into leadership.

Month 2: Leadership In Action
With your foundation built, you’ll step into leadership mode – practicing dive management, customer interaction, and team coordination.

- Dive as much as you want – Unlimited diving is included, so you’ll get as much time underwater as possible. Every dive builds your confidence and brings you closer to thinking and acting like a pro.
- Real courses, real experience – You’ll assist on actual Open Water, Explorer, and Rescue courses, not just role plays. That means real students, real challenges, and the kind of experience you can’t fake.
- Training like a professional – Being a Divemaster is more than guiding dives. At Hydronauts, you’ll learn how to run the boat, handle equipment, map dive sites, and create emergency action plans. Together, this gives you the full picture of what it means to work as a dive professional.
- Diving with purpose – We care about the ocean we dive in. As part of your Divemaster training, you’ll learn reef ecology and marine life ID directly from our partners at Global Reef. Because being a Divemaster means protecting the environment you work in.
- The RAID advantage – RAID training is modern, digital, and performance-based. No renewal fees, no pointless tick-boxes — just training that proves what you can do in the water.

- How long does the Divemaster Training take?Our Divemaster Training is a full-time program and runs for 8 weeks.
- What are the prerequisites?You need to be at least 18, with RAID Master Rescue Diver (or equivalent), Deep 40, and Nitrox certifications. You’ll also need a current First Aid & Oxygen Provider cert, valid dive medical, dive insurance, and the minimum logged dives/hours required by RAID.
- Do I need my own equipment for the Divemaster Training?We recommend it if you plan to work as a pro, but it’s not required to start. You can use our gear during training, and we’ll help you understand what’s worth investing in first.
- Will I really assist on real courses?Yes, assisting on Open Water, Explorer, and Rescue courses is central to your training. You’ll work with real students under your instructor’s supervision, so you learn how to brief, manage, and problem-solve in live scenarios.
- How many dives will I do during my divemaster training?As many as you want. You have unlimited dives included, along with course assists — so you’ll log more hours than you expect.
- Can I work after finishing my divemaster training?Yes , once certified, you’ll be ready to guide and assist dives at dive centers anywhere in the world. The RAID Divemaster certification is globally recognized.
- Why RAID instead of PADI or SSI?RAID training is modern, digital, and performance-based. There are no renewal fees, and your certification is backed by real skills, not just checklists. That’s why we train the RAID way.
